Arjun Dev Arora’s ReTargeter<\/a>\u00a0was acquired by SellPoints, Inc. (via Bloomberg<\/a>). ReTargeter, the very first firm to make retargeting accessible to all businesses, is a full-service display advertising platform specializing in audience targeting and retargeting. Since its\u00a0founding in 2009, ReTargeter has raised $1.5 million in seed funding.<\/p>\n

\"Kateryna<\/a><\/p>\n

Kateryna Sytnyk’s Abra<\/a>\u00a0was the Overall Winner of the 2015 Launch Festival<\/a>. Abra is the world\u2019s first digital cash, peer to peer money transfer network; and is committed to forever changing how the world moves money.<\/p>\n

\"john<\/a><\/p>\n

John Pettus’ Fiskkit<\/a>\u00a0 won the Social Impact Award at the 2015 Launch Festival<\/a>. Fiskkit\u00a0was created to provide a better place for people to discuss important news topics and to find what information is good and bad in every article on the Internet. (“Fisking” is a blogging word for a line-by-line critique of a news or opinion article and the core of site functionality).<\/p>\n

\"john<\/a><\/p>\n

Ioannis Verdelis’ Fleksy<\/a>\u00a0 announced an exciting new partnership with Yahoo (via VentureBeat: “Yahoo partners with Fleksy to let you browse the Web directly from your phone\u2019s keyboard<\/a>“). Fleksy, with almost $6 million in funds raised, and over three million downloads to date, is a revolutionary keyboard app for touchscreens.<\/p>\n

\"Rami<\/a><\/p>\n

Rami Essaid’s Distil Networks<\/a>\u00a0received a $3 million credit facility\u00a0(via\u00a0FinSMEs<\/a>). Distil Networks,\u00a0provider of a bot detection and mitigation platform,\u00a0has blocked over 30 billion bad bots and counting.<\/p>\n

\"Lachlan<\/a><\/p>\n

Lachlan McKnight’s LegalVision<\/a>\u00a0finalized\u00a0$1.2 million in Series A\u00a0funding (via\u00a0Startup Daily<\/a>). LegalVision, Australia’s only one-stop-shop legal services provider,\u00a0specializes\u00a0in giving clients\u00a0top quality legal advice at an affordable, fixed-fee price.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Samuli Zetterberg’s Surveypal<\/a>\u00a0raised $1 million in seed funding (via FinSMEs<\/a>). Surveypal\u00a0offers companies a tool to capture and report real-time insights and make data-driven decisions, serving\u00a0over 600 enterprise customers including IKEA, Deloitte, Roche, Reader\u2019s Digest and PwC among others.<\/p>\n

\"emily<\/a><\/p>\n

Emily Best’s Seed&Spark<\/a>\u00a0partnered with Verizon, enabling the startup’s\u00a0filmmakers to have the chance to reach approximately 5.6 million subscribers on cable VOD (via IndieWire, “Attention, Filmmakers: Seed&Spark Can Help You Reach Millions on Cable VOD<\/a>“). Seed&Spark is a one-stop shop\u00a0where filmmakers can crowdfund, distribute, and interact with their audience and the broader independent film community<\/p>\n

Jason Demant’s startup\u00a0Bento<\/a>\u00a0launched at Launch Festival (for more, read their story here<\/a>).\u00a0Bento delivers delicious Asian food in just three easy steps; \u00a0providing users with both ample menu options, and quick delivery.<\/p>\n

Vishal Gurbuxani’s\u00a0Captiv8<\/a>\u00a0launched at Launch Festival (for more, read their story here<\/a>).\u00a0Captiv8 is a social CRM platform that allows brands and influencers to own, grow, and monetize their audience.<\/p>\n

\"jeremy<\/a><\/p>\n

Jeremy Almond’s\u00a0PayStand<\/a>\u00a0launched their mobile app in the Apple Store\u00a0(via Yahoo Finance, “PayStand Launches First Mobile POS App for Credit Card, Check and Bitcoin Payments, Lowering Rates for Merchants<\/a>“). Paystand is a next-generation payment platform that empowers merchants to transact anywhere and keep more of their revenues.<\/p>\n

Andy Bosselman’s\u00a0Arithmetic<\/a> was profiled in Forbes (“The Chic Way to Get Rid of Adult Acne<\/a>“).Arithmetic is a company made up of people determined to improving\u00a0the way that acne is treated in adults.<\/p>\n

\"cynthia<\/a><\/p>\n

Cynthia Schames was profiled over\u00a0at Fast Company (“The Unique Challenges of Being a Middle-Aged Entrepreneur<\/a>“). \u00a0AbbeyPost<\/a>\u00a0is a software company and vertically integrated apparel brand,\u00a0building the world’s first software platform to solve the biggest problem that plagues the fashion industry and customers: FIT.<\/p>\n

\"Dimitris<\/a><\/p>\n

Dimitris Glezos’s\u00a0Transifex<\/a>\u00a0announced a new initiative to help protect Internet freedom through localization (via Yahoo Finance, “Protecting Internet Freedom With Localization Tools<\/a>“).Transifex is a Localization Automation Platform that powers the process of launching digital products and content into multiple languages, in over 30 countries representing 20,000+ projects and 200,000+ users, and\u00a0in more than 100 languages.<\/p>\n

\"Bertrand<\/p>\n

Bertrand Patriarca’s startup\u00a0Washos<\/a>\u00a0launched \u00a0(via Waterless Pro, “New Car Cleaning Service delivered to your location<\/a>“).\u00a0Washos\u00a0is creating a trusted vendor network to supply car owners with rapid response, mobile car cleaning services.<\/p>\n
